Åsa
Senior developer & Area Manager
“I have fun at work every day, laugh a lot, and have many colleagues who have become close friends. The best part is probably that the interest in working with security is really noticeable — everyone wants to learn more, and those who already have the knowledge are eager to share it!”

What does a typical workday look like for you?
I’m currently working on an integration project where we both build and manage a complete integration platform, and we’re also responsible for a data warehouse. My days usually start by checking that everything has run properly overnight, fixing any reruns if needed, and then it’s time for the daily stand-up!
After that, my days are spent either creating new integrations, bringing in new types of data to the data warehouse, or optimizing it to make it faster and more efficient. I also spend some time in meetings with stakeholders to make sure we’re prioritizing correctly and building the right things.
In my second role as an area manager, I act as a key link between the consultants in my area and the sales department. That can involve finding the right consultant for the right assignment, planning activities for the team, or joining recruitment interviews.
What made you decide to join Omegapoint?
The interest in IT security and the desire to do good in society. A colleague at Omegapoint gave a guest lecture at our university and I felt right then and there that "that's where I want to work."
What’s the best part about your role?
That I get to develop systems and write code, but also that I have the opportunity to develop people and Omegapoint as a company.
How would you describe the culture at Omegapoint?
“I have fun at work every day, laugh a lot, and have many colleagues who have become close friends. The best part is probably that the interest in working with security is really noticeable — everyone wants to learn more, and those who already have the knowledge are eager to share it!”
